United Temporarily Suspends Starlink Service Due to Radio Interference

United Airlines has temporarily deactivated the Starlink satellite internet service on some of its regional jets, citing issues with static interference affecting pilot radio communications.

The airline had introduced Starlink connectivity onboard just this past May.

In an official statement, United noted that such radio frequency interference is “relatively common with any new airline Wi-Fi provider” and emphasized that the issue poses no threat to flight safety.
